LouGray United Services receives SDVOB designation

LouGray United Services has been approved as a Service-Disabled Veteran Owned Business (SDVOB) by the U.S. Department of Veteran Affairs Office of Small and Disadvantaged Business Utilization (OSDBU).

The Department of Defense (DoD) has undertaken an outreach effort to identify small businesses owned and controlled by veterans and service-disabled veterans. The DoD outreach effort aims to improve prime and subcontracting opportunities for veteran and service-disabled veteran-owned small businesses.

The total 2021 request for the U.S. Department of Veteran Affairs (VA) is $243.3 billion. Section 15(g) of the Small Business Act (15 U.S.C. 644(g)) provides that at least 3 percent participation of Federal contracting be service-disabled veteran businesses, and section 36 of that Act (15 U.S.C. 657f), which gives agency contracting officers the authority to reserve certain procurements for service-disabled veteran businesses.
